Post the first sentence (or three) from every WIP you're currently working on, even if it's very short. Then invite people to ask questions about your WIPs. With any luck, you'll get talking about writing, and the motivation to take that WIP one step closer to completion will appear as if by magic!

Big surprise - not - the H50 prompt I really wanted was taken. In fact, pretty much all of the ones I was interested in were snapped up. Which is good news for those of you who read H50 fic, but I'm bummed. Maybe I'll try the h50_50 now. Some of you know that I lost my Katie-dog a few years ago and haven't had a pet since then. As much as I love dogs, I just couldn't figure out how to work out the details - I live alone and am gone sometimes ten hours a day, plus now I travel every month or so, and I just didn't think it would be fair ( Read more... )

You know, I started this week thinking I had made a really bad error at work - like a five figure error. After finding out that I didn't, the rest of the week seems pretty easy, especially since there's a holiday weekend waiting at the end of it!

I wrote for at least ten minutes every day of November (and lots more, but ten minutes was the goal). My highest ten minute total was 372, my lowest was 135 (yikes). Worked mainly on the TW story AND I'm going to deliver an original fiction short story to my editor - my darling, talented, patient, wise (did I mention patient?) - editor tonight. ( Read more... )
